Division A: Prize money for: 1st = $200, 2nd = $100, and 3rd = $50
Division B: Trophies for Top 4 places -- Top 4 gets promoted to Division A

Season 2 Timeline
1. The league start date is August 9 for Division B and will conclude August 31st. Top 4 players in Division B will be promoted to Division A.
2. Division A will start September 1st and conclude on September 30th.
3. Each Division will play 1 round robin -- players will play each other once.
4. Weekends (Saturday/Sunday) can be dedicated to the League matches.
5. Players can play League matches on other days of the week as well (as long as both players agree) within the round deadline -- that is within the end of each month.
6. Before starting a League match, both the players have to verbally agree that they are playing a League match.

League Format
7. There will be two divisions for this season: Division A and Division B. Players in division A will be approximately rated 1700 USATT and higher. Players lower than 1700 would be in division B. Top 4 players in Division B will be promoted to Division A.
8. The matches will be the best of 5 sets. Each set is played to 11 points. If the set score is even at 10 - 10, the first player to win 2 points in a row wins the set (deuce point rule). All other USATT rules apply.
9. All players are expected to abide by official USATT rules during match play and to uphold the spirit and intent of the rules. If there are disputes (such as the legality of serve, the order of play, table assignment, etc) that cannot be settled by the two players, the club officer (or league director) may rule on the dispute, or assign an umpire for the match.
10. Players are encouraged to enlist the assistance of fellow club players as umpires during these matches.
11. Tournament directors will also create and maintain a spreadsheet to track the results and points for both Division A & B.
12. The winner of a league match will receive 3 league points, the loser of a match receives 1 point. Players will be ranked in their division based on the number of points they have accumulated through the 3 round robins each season.

Match Organization
13. We will make an announcement in our Whatsapp group about the League commencement.
14. Players should make a good faith effort to organize and plays out matches. Those who are repeatedly inactive may have to forfeit league points to their opponents (USATT rating would not be affected).
15. We encourage players to self-organize and meet up during league days to play league matches.
16. The winner of the matches should report the results to the club’s Whatsapp group and the league directors will record the results on Shoilie’s website/league spreadsheet.  Winners can also email the results at shoilie.ttleague@gmail.com, cc’ing his opponent.

Players who do not complete their matches for the season will be place on a probation list. Players in the probation list will be banned from the league if they miss a match in the next season. The lifting of bans will be considered by the directors on a case-by-case basis.
